Lime paint is a lesser-known type of paint that has unique capabilities that no other paint can match.
Venice lime paint is both antibacterial and anti-allergic. When applied on top of a coat of Autentico Vintage chalk paint, the results are very rewarding, with instant ageing and a charming texture. Similar to Autentico Vintage chalk paint, Venice lime paint also needs to be sealed with a coat of wax or Sealer to achieve the best results. This final step is crucial for achieving an excellent finish.
Venice lime paint is a superior lime paint that is highly pigmented, making it perfect for up-cycling restorations and creating stunning feature walls. It is available in over 100 Autentico colours, and it is easy to apply with a wide brush.
It covers 10-15 m² per litre and requires a mineral substrate. If you are unsure if the surface is suitable, apply a coat of Vintage chalk paint before painting with Venice lime paint.
Venice lime paint can be made water-repellent by adding a coat of Sealer or wax, and it is zero VOC, anti-allergic, and antibacterial. It is also vegan, making it an environmentally friendly choice. Sealing Venice lime paint with one of our coloured waxes creates an instant French antique look that you will love.
